Verdict expected today in Tesha Miller trial

A verdict is expected today (Tuesday) in the trial of Tesha Miller, in relation of the 2008 murder of Douglas Chambers, then managing director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Authority.

Trial judge Georgiana Fraser on Mondy told the seven jurors that she will hand the case to them today.

During the trial, a former member of the Clansman gang was called as the key prosecution witness. He testified that Miller, alleged to be the leader of the gang, ordered the killing of Douglas Chambers, which occurred on June 27, 2008.

The witness, who is now serving time in prison after pleading guilty to murder and attempted arson, testified that a the death of Mr Chambers was a contract killing.
