Pearnel Charles Jr., the minister responsible for the water sector, has revealed that plans are now being developed to ensure adequate water supply to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).
Senator Charles had discussions with Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton on Monday, following reports that surgeries at the hospital were being cancelled because of a lack of water.
He subsequently told RJR News that personnel from his ministry will be working with the hospital to increase storage capacity and the frequency of water deliveries.
He stressed that “this is a priority for us, when it comes on to ensuring that hospitals and institutions like that have water, as much as possible.”
