One person was killed and 120 others revelers injured in accidents and in street clashes during Carnival festivities in Haiti.
According to the police a 29-year-old man died when he fell and was crushed by a Carnival truck.
Most of the injuries reportedly stemmed from skirmishes in the streets of Les Cayes.
Government officials estimate 300,000 people took part in this year's Carnival, which was held for the first time outside Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince.
Organizers opted to hold Carnival in the southern coastal city of Les Cayes because a settlement camp in downtown Port-au-Prince still house thousands of people displaced by the 2010 earthquake.
