Joint efforts with regional and international partners have resulted in what can be described as the largest land seizure of more than 168 kilograms of cocaine in Trinidad & Tobago last week.
The drug has an estimated street value of TT$234 million.
A police statement said an intelligence unit of the police service received information in March that a large shipment of cocaine was en route to the United States.
Three people were arrested, and a glock pistol was seized during the operation.
