Bryan resigns as CEO of the JCA

Robert Bryan has called the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) "mortally wounded", after resigning on Tuesday as Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.

Bryan, spoke with RJR Sports before meeting with JCA President Paul Campbell Wednesday morning.

"Having been there for the last five to six months, I’ve come to the conclusion that the organisation is so divided that it’s a constant struggle between opposition forces. I don’t believe that I’m capable of providing the sort of guidance and enabling environment that is required," Bryan said.

"It almost appears that the skills required are those with some expertise in tribal warfare and I don’t possess those skills," he added.

Bryan was touted as the ideal man to propel the JCA forward on his appointment in August last year.

He had headed Jamaica's Local Organising Committee for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup in the West Indies and was Tournament Director of the 2010 ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup.

Campbell told RJR Sports he would not comment on Bryan’s resignation until he meets with him.
