Clarendon College and Central High reach DaCosta Cup final

The battle for this year's symbol of rural area schoolboy football supremacy will pit 9-time champions Clarendon College against surprise package Central High in an all-Clarendon affair.

Both teams booked their tickets to the ISSA DaCosta Cup final in similar fashion following Wednesday's semi-finals at STETHS.

Clarendon College came from behind to clinch a nerve-wracking victory as they prevailed 5-4 on penalties over the Manning’s School after a 1-1 regulation time draw.

Manning’s took a surprise lead in the 15th minute through Jamaleek Porter, but that was cancelled out by Kaheim Dixon seven minutes into the second half.

Romeo Daniels was the hero for clarendon saving the shot from Manning's Kajaye Williams to send Clarendon College into the final.

Meanwhile, Manchester High failed to progress after Central High defeated them 5-4 on penalties. The teams had played out a 1-1 regulation time draw. The DaCosta Cup final will be played on December 3 at STETHS.
