Two time world Under-20 100 metre champion Tina Clayton and twin sister Tia are adjusting well to early season training in their debut season as professional athletes according to MVP Track Club president Bruce James.

Clayton and her twin sister Tia joined the Utech-based MVP training programme after signing professional contracts in the summer.

But, despite going the professional route, James says the twins are also balancing training with academics.

In the meantime, James says a number of athletes are still on their break from training, including the world's fastest woman over 200 metres and world champion Shericka Jackson.

James who was speaking on Hitz 92 FM’s Sports Grill on Monday, said the MVP grassroots clinics will resume this weekend after a 2 year break due to covid-19.

The first staging will be at GC Foster College, before moving to the Montego Bay Sports Complex, with the National Stadium staging the final clinic on successive weekends.
