CONCACAF to use VAR for remaining World Cup qualifiers

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has indicated that CONCACAF has agreed that the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system will be in place for all the remaining World Cup qualifying games starting January 27.

The news comes three weeks after the USA secured what many considered a fortunate draw with the Reggae Boyz at the National Stadium.

This as Damion Lowe's go-ahead goal in the 84th minute was disallowed for what seemed like a fantom foul on Walker Zimmerman and the US held on for a 1-1 draw.

The Reggae Boyz will host Mexico at the National Stadium on January 27, where VAR will be up and running for the first time in Jamaica.
