Dawkins lands 4-timer at Caymanas Park including the feature event

Jockey Dane Dawkins was the toast of Caymanas Park on Saturday, landing a 4-timer on the 10-race card, including the feature event.

Dawkins guided the Fitzgerald Richards-trained 5-2 third choice Patriarch to a battling victory over stable companion God of Love in the St Catherine Cup, a $1.15 million event for Open Allowance runners, 3 year olds and up over 6 furlongs. Patriarch came home in a minute, thirteen seconds flat to win by three-quarters of a length.

Dawkins who had 8 rides on the card, also won aboard favourites Atomica at 4-5 in the first event, Mr A at even-money in the 6th and Jordan Reign’s at 1-5 in the 7th.

No trainer had more than one winner on the programme. Racing continues on Sunday with a 10 race card starting at noon.
