Exhilarate wins feature event at Caymanas Park

11-1 shot Exhilarate under jockey Aaron Chatrie for leading trainer Anthony “Baba” Nunes, created a big upset in landing the Gladiator Trophy, an Open Allowance contest over 7 furlongs at Caymanas Park on Saturday.

Stablemate and 1-9 favourite Toona Ciliata found the sloppy underfoot conditions unfavourable and Exhilarate in a near perfect gate to wire performance, got away from the rest of the field. New apprentice Marshall Porter had a double. Racing continues next Saturday.
