In the clearest sign yet that he is set for a reported club move to Europe, Jamaican forward Junior Flemmings announced his departure from USL outfit Birmingham legion on social media on Thursday.
Flemmings thanked Birmingham Legion FC staff and players for their support noting he finished the season injury free.
He added he would not be returning to the club after only one year while adding he was really excited for the future.
Flemmings’ entire 6-year professional career has been in the USL, with two years at New York Red Bulls 11, a year with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, two years with Phoenix Rising and most recently this past year in Birmingham.
He has been linked with a move to French League 2 club Toulouse FC. The 25 year old former Jamaica College Manning Cup star has been a member of the Reggae Boyz squad in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
