Xavier Gilbert, who served as the assistant coach of the Reggae Girlz to the recent World Cup "Down Under", has been promoted to the top job by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for the two upcoming games of the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup qualifiers on October 25 and 29.
The JFF confirmed Gilbert's appointment as Lorne Donaldson's replacement via a press release late Thursday afternoon.
The JFF indicated that a squad of players has been selected for the two games against Panama and Guatemala on October 25 and 29, respectively.
Howvever, the federation noted that the names will be released in short order.
The release added that a full technical support staff has also been put in place for the upcoming games.
