JAAA already putting plans in place for Budapest World Champs

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jordan Forte

Despite the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary is still about 7 months away, Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) president Garth Gayle says track and field's local governing body has already set plans in motion to ensure the best performance of Jamaica's athletes.

Jamaica ended third on the medal table at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon with 10 medals including 2 gold, but the country did encounter a few administrative issues with some athletes experiencing significant delays in obtaining travel documents for the meet.

This year's World Athletics Championships will be held from August 19-27.
