The 1-5 favourite Legacy Isle with Tevin Foster riding for trainer Rohan Crichton, recorded his first victory on local soil after capturing Saturday's inaugural running of the Omar Walker Trophy at Caymanas Park.
The 5 year old American-bred horse who was runner-up in last year's Mouttet Mile, gobbled up the early leaders Chocomo and Joy is Golden with 4 furlongs to go in the 5 furlong round contest for overnight allowance runners.
Legacy Isle covered the trip in a minute and one-fifth of a second, winning by 4-and-three quarter lengths after splits of 24.2 and 48.0.
The day was dedicated to 6-time former champion jockey Omar Walker. 3-time former champion trainer Anthony "Baba" Nunes saddled the first two winners on the programme. Racing continues on Sunday with a 10-race card starting at noon.
