Jamaica's Rovman Powell has been officially announced as the new vice-captain for the West Indies T20 squad.
Powell has been included in the Windies T20 and ODI squads for the respective series against Bangladesh. The T20 squad is completed by Shamarh Brooks, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Keemo Paul, Romario Shepherd and Hayden Walsh Jr.
Powell and King have also been included in the 13-man ODI squad which sees a recall for Thomas, and Guyanese all- rounder Keemo Paul.
There is also a first time call up for Guyanese left arm spinner Gutakesh Motie. Pooran will also lead the ODI squad with Shai Hope his deputy.
Brooks, Keacy Carty, Hosein, Joseph, Mayers, Anderson Phillip and Jayden Seales have also been included, while Romario Shepherd will be the reserve.
The teams will do battle in the ODI matches on July 10, 13 AND 16 at the Guyana National Stadium.
