Round one and two of the Sports Innovators Group (SIG) Jamaica Basketball Showcase got under way on Thursday at the UTech auditorium.
Round one saw Lignum Vitae defeat Blue Mahoe 44-35, PHASE 1 beat Central Warriors 51-35, and CBA outscored Hummingbird 55-37.
Round two saw Central Warriors beat Blue Mahoe 54-44, Hummingbird Bird held off Lignum Vitae 52-49 while PHASE 1 got the better of CBA 42-34.
The tournament will run from July 28 to 30.
Teams will face off on Saturday to decide who moves on in the competition.
SIG Basketballl Showcase marks a return to the courts for basketball after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
