St. Mary High wins Eastern Athletics Champs

St. Mary High School on Tuesday won the Eastern Athletics Champions, dethroning Buff Bay High on the second and final day at the National Stadium in Kingston.

St. Mary amassed 542.5 points to beat Buff Bay, 498; Oberlin, 443.5; Glengoffe, 297, and Titchfield, 275, rounding out the top five.

David Rojohn, a class 1 competitor from St. Thomas Technical, who amassed 25 points, was named the overall champion boy while class 2 athlete Trishauna Hemmings of Glengoffe  was voted the overall champion girl.
