Respected track and field online website, The Athletic Weekly has named Jamaica's Tina Clayton as the junior Female Athlete of the Year.
Clayton who is now training at the UTech-based MVP Track Club, defended her world Under-20 title in a blistering championship record of 10.95 seconds and was also a member of the 4x100m winning team.
Clayton also won the 100 metres and sprint relay at the Carifta Games held in Jamaica earlier this year.
Similarly, to World Athletics earlier this week, American Erriyon Knighton was named the junior Male Athlete of the Year, while Mondo Duplantis and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone were named as the senior male and female athletes of the year.
