Court petitioned to remove Prince's items from Los Angeles area hit by wildfires

A Carver County judge has received a petition to move the contents of Prince's vault from the Los Angeles area, where wildfires continue to spread, and back to his Paisley Park complex in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

The vault which contains tons of unreleased Prince music currently resides at a storage facility called Iron Mountain in Hollywood.

The "emergency petition," filed last week, requests the court order that the contents of the vault be moved to a more secure location, with Paisley Park suggested.

In October, two Prince sisters and heirs said they are prepared to take legal action after the contents of Prince's vault, including master tapes of unreleased music, were removed from Paisley Park and shipped to California.

The vault had to be moved because many of the items inside were damaged due to neglect and poor storage procedures at Paisley Park.
