The 'Queen of Hip Hop Soul' Mary J. Blige is turning her iconic '90s hit song Real Love into a Lifetime movie.
The single was Blige's first song to hit the top 10 and was certified gold two months after its release in 1992.
She will serve as executive producer for the made-for-TV film, which will tell the story of character Kendra, who goes off on her own for the first time to college in upstate New York.
Determined to focus on her studies, she meets her partner Ben, and they navigate personal and educational struggles, ultimately learning the meaning of real love.
