Dancehall selector Niko of the duo Chromatic, has revealed the reason behind his absence from the entertainment scene. In a post on his GoFundMe page, the selector shared his battle with kidney disease.
He decided to go public with the news as he is asking for monetary help for a required kidney transplant.
Affiliates of the DJ say he has been ill for years, but was forced to significantly reduce his party appearances as the illness worsened.
Niko is hoping to reach his goal of US$50,000 via donations on his account at gofundme.com/nikochromatic.
He has received US$2,700 in the past 18 hours.
