Sidney Poitier
The death certificate for legendary actor Sidney Poitier shows that heart failure was his cause of death.
Poitier died on January 6 at the age of 94 at his Beverly Hills home in California.
Official documents cite cardiopulmonary failure as the cause of death, however, Alzheimer's, dementia and prostate cancer are listed as underlying health issues.
Poitier was the first Black man to win the Academy Award for best actor in 1963, blazing a trail for Black actors to follow.
