Social media platforms cracking down on "George Floyd Challenge"

Social media platforms are cracking down on racists who are participating in the so called "George Floyd Challenge".

The trend went viral after three teens were arrested in the UK for a possible hate crime after sharing photos of themselves mocking the death of Floyd.

The challenge involves them re-enacting the exchange between Floyd and former police officer Derek Chauvin.

Social media giants such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter appear to be blocking content under the #GeorgeFloydChallenge hashtag, or users are being met with a "Hashtag is Hidden" message.

The challenge has also sparked outrage from social media users.
