Spice Girl Mel B reveals reasons for seeking divorce from husband

Former Spice Girl and America's Got Talent judge Melanie Brown (Mel B) has revealed in a declaration for a restraining order, reasons for her seeking a divorce from estranged Stephen Belafonte.         
    
Mel B claims that Belafonte attempted to control her through physical and emotional abuse.
    
The couple married in June 2007 in Las Vegas.
    
Soon after he became verbally abusive calling her worthless and stupid, and even threaten to release sex tapes of them that he recorded in order to ruin her career and possibly have their children taken away.
    
The report also stated that in December 2014, Mel B attempted suicide by swallowing an entire bottle of aspirin.
    
Among the other claims in the document is that Belafonte got their nanny pregnant and eventually paid $300,000 of her own money to settle the issue.
    
Belafonte is also accused of choking and punching her on several occasions, accusing her of sleeping with other celebrities and forcing her to have threesomes.
