U.S. Talk show host Wendy Williams found herself in hot water over recent comments made on her show. Her remarks were centered around Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams' speech which she called "poignant."
But it was what she had to say about historically black colleges that many found offensive.
Williams said, though she understood Jesse's stance, she questioned all black organizations like the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
She asked what if there were historically white colleges or a National Organization for White People.
HBCUs were started for African-American students who found themselves shut out of other institutions of higher learning because of racism.
There are now calls to boycott her show.
