Barita Investments says it has successfully financed a landmark transaction.
According to a news release from Barita, a Jamaican company – Ecommerce Property Services - has acquired three US based tech driven real estate services companies.
The larger of the three companies is expected to have combined property sales exceeding US$2 billion for the 2021 financial year.
The financing and acquisition transaction was executed by the Barita Investment Banking and Structured Finance Products teams with support from local and international service providers and professionals who carried out due diligence and other professional services.
The transaction is now in the first phase which involves quasi-equity and debt financing to Ecommerce.
It is anticipated that Phase 2 will see Barita arranging the listing of the company on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
