BOJ confirms some banks having difficulties crediting customers' accounts

The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) says it is aware that some banks are experiencing challenges crediting customers' accounts.

In a statement issued on Friday, the central bank confirmed that the JamClear®-RTGS platform Jamaica's real-time gross settlement system is working as required.

The BOJ explained, however, that the delays being experienced are linked to internal system integration issues at some financial institutions, following a major system upgrade earlier this week.

The BOJ is advising customers to report any delay or failed transfers directly to their banks, while it continues to monitor the situation closely.
