Business process outsourcing company Ibex has closed two centres in Jamaica and eliminated one third of its contact desks in efforts to scale back operations.
The operation is down to four centres from six.
Its US based operation is down from seven centres to three.
The group highlighted challenges related to inflation, and generative artificial technology, resulting in clients weighing their options.
Ibex launched its own AI technology this year offering clients similar services.
