Chairman of the Seprod Group of Companies, P.B. Scott, says it will be seeking to export more to Caribbean markets in order to avoid some of the negative effects of the 10% tariff imposed on exports to the US by President Donald
Trump.
He stressed that this shift is part of a strategy the company has been successfully executing over the past two years, driven by the acquisition of aisbriden and sons and its integration with Caribbean Producers Jamaica.
Mr. Scott also pointed out that these moves led to the build out of distribution hubs in Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica.
