Jamaica has signed a contract valued at $400 million to be the sole telecommunications
provider for Scotiabank Jamaica
over the next five years.
Scotiabank had solicited proposals from several leading solutions providers and telecommunications companies in Jamaica to meet very specific objectives.
The list included lowering the bank's operating expenses, improving the internal and external communication processes and enhancing its customer service capabilities.
Cable & Wireless, partnering with international business solutions provider, Avaya, won the bid after fulfilling all the criteria requested by the Bank.
Scotiabank Managing Director, William Clarke, says the bank went through a very rigorous selection process and its decision was based on C&WJ's ability to provide a full-service package.
