Cyber security expert urges bank customers to closely monitor their accounts

 

Jamaicans are being urged to keep a close watch on their bank accounts.

 

Cyber Security Expert Gavin Dennis says if account information was compromised during the hollidays, some cyber criminals will wait until later this month to carry out their attacks, "when the criminals know that a new set of money is going to come in; people have been relaxed for a while, that's when they will pull the trigger on the theft."

 

He says customers should keep all transaction receipts, make note of where they used their card, and report any strange activity to the bank.
