Micro-lender Dolla Financial Services realised an increase in its loan portfolio and profit at the end of June.
The company says in its second quarter it made $105 million after tax, up from $59 million for the corresponding period last year.
The quarter's profit brought Dolla's post tax earnings at the half year mark, to $227 million.
At the same point last year, the company had made $119 million.
Dolla Financial's total revenues for the six months were 98 per cent higher, coming in at $592 million.
The company says total loans reached $2.6 billion, a 145 per cent increase compared with last year.
Eighty-one per cent of loans disbursed were to businesses while the remainder were personal loans.
Eighty per cent were secured loans, while 20 per cent were unsecured.
