Major cement producer in the Dominican Republic, Domicem, has expanded.
The company has opened its second production line, set to more than double the current production capacity.
Domicem expects to reach nearly 3 million tons per year.
The company says this also positions it to increase exports to new regional markets.
The upgrade is valued at more than US$130 million.
