Works Minister Dr. Omar Davies says plans are in high gear for the start of the Kingston Port expansion project.
He told Parliament yesterday that he was optimistic that within months negotiations for its implementation will move to the point of an agreement being reached.
The project was conceptualised so that Jamaica can take advantage of the expansion of the Panama Canal, which is scheduled to be completed in 2015.
The new facility will be able to accommodate larger ships.
