GraceKennedy resumes full operations post-hurricane

GraceKennedy Group CEO Frank James says the company has fully resumed operations following Hurricane Melissa with minimal damage to its facilities, particularly in eastern Jamaica, including its Harbour Street head office.

Mr. James reported that most of GraceKennedy's financial services locations across the island have reopened, with several resuming operations as early as Wednesday, October 29.

He noted that the company's main distribution centre in St. Catherine also resumed operations that day to ensure the continued supply of essential food items nationwide.

All Hi-Lo food stores in Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine, along with branches in Montego Bay and Negril are now open.

Meanwhile, 136 GraceKennedy Money Services locations are now operating across Jamaica, representing 66 per cent of its agent network.

These include outlets in St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, and St. James.

Mr. James also confirmed that all First Global Bank branches are open and fully operational.
