The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) recently honoured Elizabeth Ann 'Betty Ann' Jones, chairperson of the JN Group, with its Distinguished Member Award for 2024.
This award, the highest which can be conferred by the Institute, was made to Ms. Jones for her 40 years of service to the profession.
Ms. Jones, who currently sits on the board and audit committee of the RJRGLEANER Group, also spent three years as the head of the Tax Practice Department at KPMG and was also an advisor to the Ministry of Finance when the GCT was being implemented in 1992.
