Jamaica Broilers Group is reporting a sharp improvement in its operating performance for the financial year ended May, although the company still recorded a net loss of $6.8 billion.
The group's revenue increased by 3 per cent to $74.6 billion while gross profit rose by more than 40 per cent to $21.7 billion.
The group's continuing operations generated a net profit of $3 billion compared with a loss of $2.9 billion in 2025.
However, this was more than offset by a $9.8 billion loss from discontinued operations.
Despite the overall loss, Jamaica Broilers ended the year with $2.6 billion in cash compared with about $406 million the previous year.
For the parent company, Jamaica Broilers' revenue was $60.7 billion down slightly from $61.4 billion while net profit fell to $1.1 billion from $2.5 billion.
