Jamaica National has comfortably retained the position of being the country’s largest building society, based on its asset base.
Bank of Jamaica data show that, as at September 30, Jamaica National held J$115.2 billion in assets, including cash balances, investments and loans. Victoria Mutual was at number two with an asset base of J$71.4 billion. Scotia Jamaica Building Society was at third place with J$19 billion.
The combined asset base of the country's three building societies was J$205 billion.
