Jamaica has been removed after decades of being on the United States Trade Representative watch list.
This follows the passage of the Patents and Designs Act in January.
It replaced the country's outdated patent and industrial designs regime.
A statement from the Industry Ministry said the new bill was developed in an effort to modernise Jamaica's patent and industrial designs regime and implement its international obligations.
