The JSE Index advanced by 2,364 points on Thursday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 20 points.
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 109 stocks, of which 54 advanced, 43 declined and 12 traded firm.
TransJamaican Highway was the volume leader with 40 per cent of total volume.
