The JSE Index advanced by 711 points on Monday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by seven points.
Overall, market activity resulted from trading in 116 stocks of which 58 advanced, 42 declined and 16 traded firm.
Jamaican Teas was the volume leader with 8 per cent of total volume.
