The JSE Index declined by 945 points on Tuesday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 43 points.
There was trading in 110 stocks of which 57 advanced, 35 declined and 18 traded firm.
Future Energy Source Company (FESCO) ordinary shares was the volume leader with 36 per cent of total volume.
