LIME confirms partnership talks with global-services firm

Telecommunications company LIME has now formally announced that it is in talks with a global-services firm, for a partnership in managing aspects of its Jamaica operations.

In a release on Monday, LIME said the talks were exploratory, but did not indicate what aspect of its business, the "global services" firm is being sought to manage.

However, LIME said the talks are aimed at "dramatically improving service to its customers," as it increases investments in its network.

According to Garfield Sinclair, General Manager of LIME, no decision has been made, as yet, to go along with the proposed partnership.

He added that after a series of discussions with key stakeholders in the past week, a due diligence exercise will begin, this week, in the matter, involving a wide range of parties.

The due diligence is expected to last up to two months.

LIME said decisions on the best way forward will be made, after the period ends.
