Jamaica's Reggae Girlz suffered a 4-0 defeat to world champions, the United States in their friendly international on Tuesday night at Energizer Park in St Louis, Missouri. The game saw the us taking the lead in the 19th minute through Ally Sentnor.
The Americans went further ahead in minute 28, when Sentnor scored her second of the night. It remained 2-0 at half time, as the Girlz defended stoutly against the dominant US team.
The resistance was broken in minute 60 when substitute Lynn Biyendolo scored the first of her brace. She returned in the 88th minute to put the icing on the cake.
It was a slight improvement for the Reggae Girlz, who were blanked 5-0 by the same opponents, when both teams met in the 2022 CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.
The Reggae Girlz will next face 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup runners-up England at Leicester City's King Power Stadium on June 29.
