Officials at MBJ Airports Limited (operator of Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay) are reportedly in talks with United Airlines about launching non-stop flights between Denver International Airport and Jamaica.
The talks are being held after Frontier Airlines discontinued service between Denver International and Jamaica last year.
The MBJ officials are scheduled to meet with Denver International's largest carrier at the Routes Americas conference being held in Colorado.
Frontier Airlines launched a weekly Denver-to-Montego Bay route in December 2013, offering a direct flight between Colorado and Jamaica.
The route reportedly did well, but Frontier discontinued it after one season.
