Opening of two new PriceSmart clubs pushed back due to Hurricane Melissa

PriceSmart says the opening of two new warehouse clubs in Jamaica has been pushed back following disruptions tied to Hurricane Melissa last October.

According to the Gleaner, the membership-based retailer told investors on its earnings call that its third Jamaican location in Montego Bay is now slated for autumn 2026, while the fourth on South Camp Road in Kingston is expected to open in winter.

The company had previously targeted to open each store a season earlier - that's about three months prior, according to its November annual report.

CEO David Price says the company did not anticipate any further delays to its club new openings at this time.
