The St. Elizabeth Police have charged a man who was wanted for a murder committed in Bull Savannah four years ago.
Alex McDonald, of Top Hill, Bull Savannah, was being sought for the killing of Romario Barnes at Water Lane Road in November 11 in 2021.
Superintendent Coleridge Minto, Commanding Officer for the St. Elizabeth Police Division, says McDonald fled to a neighbouring Caribbean island. However, he was arrested and deported on January 7, 2026.
"He's now in custody and charged with the murder of Romario Barnes. His court date is being finalised," said the superintendent, who warned persons suspected of similar crimes that "there is no statute of limitations on these matters...so as long as it takes, the matters will remain open until the perpetrators are brought to justice".
