Pepsi-Cola Jamaica poised for further growth

Luz Tejada, Commercial Director at Pepsi-Cola Jamaica

Despite the recent expansion of its production facilities, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica says plans could be in the pipeline for even more growth.

Commercial Director at Pepsi-Cola Jamaica, Luz Tejada, says other products are seeing increased demand in both the local and international markets.

As a result, she said the company may have to respond soon to supply the local demand for Gatorade and Ocean Spray.

This week, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica opened a new facility with a US$30 million price tag.

The new production line, which was built in eight months, increases the company's production output by 60 per cent, and boosts employment by 20 per cent.

Ms. Tejada said the new line will allow the company to resume production of some products, including the 500ml Pepsi Bubbla.
