Primary and prep school students now playing JSE stock market game

Managing director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, Dr. Marlene Street Forrest, says students in 15 primary and preparatory schools are now playing to stock market game, already being played by students in most  secondary and tertiary institutions.

She says the stock market game, JSE Open Campus,  its annual Regional Investments and Capital Markets Conference, and Investor Education Week are integral components of the JSE's investor education and outreach programmes.

These have contributed to an increase in the number of JSE accounts to 380,000 last year from 50,000 five years ago.
