TransJamaican Highway says it plans to redeem a further portion of its preference shares in January.
The company says it intends to exercise its option to redeem part of its 8 per cent JMD Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares on January 22, 2026, which marks the sixth anniversary of the issue.
Under the company's Articles of Association and the terms of issue, TransJamaican will redeem up to 15 per cent of the principal amount in issue, inclusive of the five per cent already redeemed in July 2025.
The move forms part of corrective actions outlined in the company's September 24, 2025 press release.
Payment of the redemption amount is scheduled for January 30, 2026, and will be made to eligible preference shareholders through the Jamaica Central Securities Depository.
TransJamaican Highway says the redemption is in keeping with its obligations to investors and its ongoing capital management strategy.
